Amanda became an optometric assistant at the Barrhaven Optometric Centre in 2008. She completes a variety of tasks around the office including frame selection, adjustments and repairs. She is currently enrolled in the Canadian Association of Optometrists course and looks forward to gaining more knowledge and skills.

Amanda graduated from Trent University in May 2008 with a Bachelor of Business Administration in an Honors program. She is also a Corporal in the army reserve; her regiment is the Cameron Highlanders of Ottawa. In addition, Amanda enjoys playing the bagpipes and is a member of the Glengarry Pipe band. When away from the office she enjoys spending time with her boyfriend, cooking, reading and hanging out with friends.
