Dr. Rivard graduated from the University of Waterloo in 2008 receiving Doctor of Optometry and Honors Science degrees.  Throughout her university career, Dr. Rivard was recognized on the Dean's Honors List each year.  Through her Optometry program, Dr. Rivard was able to gain experience in clinics specializing in contact lenses, paediatrics, low vision, ocular health, and binocular vision.  She completed a clinical rotation in Louisville, Kentucky at a clinic specializing in laser vision correction, cataract surgery and the management of glaucoma, retinal and corneal disease.  She also completed a rotation at Barrhaven Optometric Centre, during which time she gained valuable experience.

Dr. Rivard grew up in Greely and is happy to be back in the Ottawa area after being away at school. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, reading, and visiting with friends and family.  She looks forward to her future in optometry and to eventually raising a family in the Ottawa area.
